The rotary drive device includes a casing 6, a stator holding portion 51 provided on the outer periphery of the stator 2, a blade root base 52 that is a cylindrical member, and a rotary shaft 8 from an axial end of the cylindrical member. A flange 53 extending toward the stator holding portion 51 opposite to the axial end thereof, and a fastening member fastened to the axial end of the stator holding portion 51 via the flange 53 . The flange 53 is formed with a through hole which penetrates the flange 53 in the axial direction and into which the fastening member is inserted. The diameter of the through hole is smaller than the diameter of the head of the fastening member and larger than the diameter of the threaded portion of the fastening member. In the casing (6), the rotating shaft (8), the rotor (1), the stator (2), the stator holding part (51), and the cylindrical member are arranged in this order in the radial direction, the rotating shaft (8), the rotor (1), the stator ( 2), the stator holding part 51 and the cylindrical member are provided on concentric circles.
