The present invention is a medium or high voltage equipment comprising a leak-tight enclosure, in which a gas mixture is located to provide electrical insulation and/or electrical components and/or to extinguish potential electric arcs within the enclosure. Equipment is provided, wherein the gas mixture comprises heptafluoroisobutyronitrile, carbon dioxide, and a small amount of oxygen. Electrical components covered by a solid dielectric layer of variable thickness are located inside the leak-tight enclosure of the device of the present invention.
