PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the time and effort of measuring the magnetic characteristics of a magnetic material for power electronics.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for measuring the magnetic characteristics of a magnetic material for power electronics characterized in that when a pickup coil (11) with electric wire (11c) wound in shape of the numeral 8 on a pair of hollow shanks (11a, 11b) and a magnetic field detection coil (7) are inserted into the inside of a shank (6a) of a magnetic field generating coil (6), a magnetic material (14) is contained in the inside of one shank (11a) of the pickup coil (11), and an AC current is sent to the magnetic field generating coil (6), the strength (H) of magnetic field is derived from the detection result of the magnetic field detection coil (7), as well as magnetization (M) is derived from the detection result of the pickup coil (11), and the frequency characteristics of the strength (H) of magnetic field and the magnetization (M) are derived.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
