To improve sensitivity on identification of endogenous peptide.SOLUTION: One MSspectrum of destinations is selected from a spectra library at the time of spectral retrieval (S21) and then, while extending or removing N-terminal or C-terminal amino acid residues of an amino acid sequence of the precursor ion corresponding thereto, an amino acid sequence in which the precursor ion of an actually measured MSmatches m/z is retrieved (S22). If a variant sequence is found thereby, a pair of variant C-terminal fragment spectrum and N-terminal fragment spectrum is created using the original MSspectrum (S24). The pair and an actually measured MSspectrum are compared with each other to calculate similarity (S25), so as to identify a variant on the basis of the similarity after completion of treatment for all MSspectra in the library (S26-S27, S29). Therefore, it can be possible to identify a variant which is not recorded in the library.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
