Said method comprises the following steps: a) a step of depositing, on a surface, at least one drop comprising a solvent, the at least one compound of interest, particles and at least one rheological agent which can be modified between initial and final states suitable for generating two different configurations of the at least one particle deposit, b) a step of evaporating the solvent to generate the at least one particle deposit according to one of the two particular configurations, c) a step of analysing the at least one particle deposit in order to detect: the absence of catalytic activity of the at least one compound of interest when the deposit has a configuration generated by the at least one rheological agent in the initial state thereof, and the presence of catalytic activity of the at least one compound of interest when the deposit has a configuration generated by the at least one rheological agent in the final state thereof.
