The invention relates to medicine. A hardware/software system for the rehabilitation of patients with cognitive impairments of the upper extremities after stroke comprises a virtual reality glove, a controller with a sensor, an encephalograph, and a computer with specialized cognitive games installed thereon. The glove is configured with built-in sensing elements that allow the movement of a patient's fingers and hand to be tracked in space. The controller is positioned on the shoulder joint in order to collect information about the movements of the shoulder joint during the execution of exercises in the games. The computer is configured to be capable of receiving information from the aforementioned devices; performing a computerized analysis of the information received regarding the patient's brain, arm muscle and fine motor skill function; determining the patient's fatigue level; automatically adjusting the exercises in the games and selecting the most effective exercises; and storing patient rehabilitation results in a database. The invention provides for more effective rehabilitation of patients with cognitive impairments of the upper extremities after stroke.
