Beam Targeting and Beam Targeting Systems

The present invention is a beam target for generating a nuclear reaction product by irradiating a beam obtained from a beam source, and a cone having a tapered inner surface whose diameter is reduced by the tip, and liquid metal is supplied to the inner surface of the cone, and supply means for forming a liquid film by the liquid metal on the inner surface. A liquid film of liquid metal is formed on the surface of the cone to increase the irradiation area of the beam, and at the same time, target materials such as LLFP can be placed around the cone, so nuclear reaction products (e.g., neutrons) can be used efficiently.
