Disclosed are a ternary composite photocatalyst, a preparation method therefor and the use thereof. The ternary composite photocatalyst comprises graphite phase carbon nitride and two dimensional black phosphorus/transition metal heterojunction that are mixed with each other, wherein the two dimensional black phosphorus/transition metal heterojunction comprises a two dimensional black phosphorus sheet and transition metal particles loaded on the two dimensional black phosphorus sheet. The transition metal (TM) particles loaded on the surface of the two dimensional black phosphorus (BP) sheet as a cocatalyst, can not only serve as a capture site of a photon-generated carrier to improve the dissociation and interface migration efficiency of the carrier, but also serve as an active site of a redox reaction to reduce the overpotential of a photocatalytic reaction, and effectively improve the photocatalytic efficiency of the graphite phase carbon nitride.
