PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method and the shellfish for providing an arbitrary flavor while keeping the shellfish alive. SOLUTION: Shellfish 1 is shipped in a state where a granular raw material is taken into the intestinal tract. The raw material may be composed of a material that is difficult for shellfish 1 to digest and absorb, or may be composed of a product collected on land. The shellfish 1 includes a breathing and feeding induction step S301 in which the landed shellfish is allowed to stand in breeding water to induce breathing and feeding behavior, and a raw material-containing water preparation step in which the raw material is combined with water or seawater to prepare raw material-containing water. S201 to S202, executed after the respiratory feeding induction step S301, and executed after the raw material-containing water dropping step S303 for dropping the raw material-containing water into the breeding water, and the raw material-containing water dropping step S303, which are predetermined to the shellfish. It is obtained by performing the raw material feeding step S305 in which the raw material is allowed to stand until the amount of the raw material is fed. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
