PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater that can effectively use surplus power.;SOLUTION: When surplus power is generated, a hot water storage unit controller 500 operates a heat pump unit 100, sends hot water taken from a lower part of a hot water storage tank 201 to a three-way valve 203, a tank side pump 202, and a heat pump water inflow pipe 121 in this order, and supplies it to a refrigerant-water heat exchanger 102. Hot water heated by exchanging heat with a refrigerant in the refrigerant-water heat exchanger 102 is sent to a heat pump hot water outflow pipe 122, a four-way valve 204, a hot water delivery pipe 231, a hot water supply pipe 232, a bath hot water supply mixing valve 206, and a hot water filling opening/closing valve 207 in this order, and supplied to a bathtub 300 via a bathtub outgoing pipe 233 and a bathtub return pipe 234.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
