The present invention relates to a method for modeling requirements for electrical vehicle components with the following steps: a) definition (S1) of function blocks (12, 13, 14, 15) for basic functions of a driver assistance system, b) assignment (S2) of temporal resources to the Function blocks (12, 13, 14, 15), characterized byc) grouping (S3) the function blocks (12, 13, 14, 15) to form execution units (11), d) creation (S4) of an architecture (18) of execution units (11 ), which represents a set of driver assistance functions of a driver assistance system, whereby it is determined in which time cycle the respective execution units (11) are executed, e) assignment (S5) of sequences of function blocks (12, 13, 14, 15) to a respective execution unit ( 11) for each driver assistance function, f) executing (S6) all sequences and determining a time required for this, and g) comparing (S7) the time required with a given real-time requirement tion.
