A system and method for detecting network intrusion based on an AE-CGAN model are disclosed. A method for generating training data of a network intrusion detection system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes extracting features of a sparse class from an original training data set; and inputting the characteristic of the sparse class into a data generation model to generate additional data having the characteristic of the sparse class.
