Apparatus, systems, and methods for an in-memory recovery algorithm are described. In one embodiment, the controller receives reliability information from at least one component of a storage device coupled to the controller, stores the reliability information in a memory communicatively coupled to the controller, and displays at least one reliability indicator for the storage device. It includes logic for generating and forwarding the reliability indicator to the election module. Other embodiments are also disclosed and claimed.
