A method for eliminating loudspeaker audio feedback, oscillation or howling caused by microphones, pickups and audio transducers. The method comprises a system of measuring the maximum gain for a signal between a loudspeaker and microphone before feedback at a set distance, and measuring the distances, applied gain and frequency boost between each microphone and loudspeaker before limiting the gain and frequency boost of each loudspeaker and microphone signal to calculate and reduce the gain to a level below the maximum limit in order to pre-empt and cancel out feedback before it occurs by ensuring the gain is below the upper level calculated. By determining the maximum loop gain before feedback in a setup phase, the loop gain of each microphone combination is limited below this level, thus eliminating feedback. This system can be used in conjunction with existing anti-feedback systems that enable a higher output from the loudspeaker.
