The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel marker for diagnosing cognitive disorders.　The present invention provides a biomarker that is for cognitive disorders and that comprises at least one of a polynucleotide capable of specifically binding to a predetermined miRNA or a complementary chain thereof, a polynucleotide capable of specifically binding to a predetermined mRNA or a complementary chain thereof, a predetermined protein, or a predetermined metabolite. The present invention also provides: a detecting agent for the biomarker; a method for testing cognitive disorders of a subject; a method for presenting a treating or ameliorating means for cognitive disorders to a subject; and a screening method for a treatment or substance for cognitive disorders.
