PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for designing a composite component.SOLUTION: There is provided the method to selectively analyze feasibility of optimizing fiber orientations on layers of multilayer composite components fragmented into panels individually including a part of an area of the multilayer composite components. The method includes: identifying lamination sequence rules of limiting composition of sublaminates including layers sequentially laminated and used during optimization; analyzing a panel by identifying ply counts limiting the number of plies in each of the panel of the composite component; selecting the number of the sublaminates to be used while the panel is optimized; calculating ply count varying with respect to the laminates based on the number of the sublaminates and the lamination sequence rules; and determining whether the ply counts on the panel follow the ply count ranges on the laminates.SELECTED DRAWING: None
