The method comprises: measuring the current vehicle speed and the current opening degree of an accelerator pedal; according to the current vehicle speed and the current opening degree of the accelerator pedal, determining a requested torque of the accelerator pedal on the basis of a preset relationship table, wherein the preset relationship table comprises the relationship that the requested torque of the accelerator pedal is a negative torque when the current opening degree of the accelerator pedal is greater than zero; and controlling, according to the requested torque of the accelerator pedal, a new-energy vehicle to travel. The technical solution can improve the controllability of a new-energy vehicle.
