The invention relates to the field of computing. The technical result lies in increasing the accuracy with which individualized dietary recommendations are generated for a user. This technical result is achieved by generating a list of recommended food items for a user, where each food item has a score obtained on the basis of a food item rating based on data about the health of the user's microbiota, and generating a personalized report on dietary quality and recommendations for improving same.
