A power generation transformer system is disclosed in which the core of the transformer has one of several generalized configurations. Disclosed is a power generation transformer system including a method of improving power factor in a power generation transformer system and a role as a power supply. The power generation transformer system generates an alternating current having a frequency such that the relative phase, which is the phase difference of the flux between the primary coil and the secondary coil of the transformer in the transformer circuit, becomes a value within a preset range, and at least one element in the transformer circuit. The power factor is improved by controlling the reactive power at the point where AC is generated in the primary coil of the transformer or ACRF of the transformer circuit. Finally, a block diagram of a power generation transformer system is disclosed.
