To provide formulations suitable for parenteral administration of hydrophobic active agents such as Coenzyme Q10.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is a therapeutic formulation suitable for intravenously administering to a subject, the formulation comprising: an aqueous solution; a hydrophobic active agent that forms a colloidal nano-dispersion of particles; and a dispersion stabilizer or opsonization-reducing agent, where the colloidal nano-dispersion of the active agent comprises nano-dispersion particles having a mean size of less than 200-nm. Also disclosed is a method for treating or preventing oncological disorders comprising a step of intravenously administering the therapeutic formulation to a subject.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
