PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thinking/discussion support system which provides support to visualize thinking or contents of a discussion and enables acceleration of display of an item (element) on a map and editing work of the item, and the method therefor.SOLUTION: A thinking/discussion support system includes a display part, an input part and a control part and controls a display mode of the display part. A map which is a data set classifies a plurality of fields in a first direction and a plurality of levels in a second direction intersecting with the first direction. Each of areas sectioned by the plurality of fields and the plurality of levels is defined as a map where an item having at least a field and a level as attributes can be arranged. When information is added to the map from the input part, the display part performs any one of arrangement display of the information and additional information display with respect to an item arranged on the map on the basis of control by the control part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
