The present invention relates to an isolated T cell receptor (TCR) specific for NY-ESO-1 / LAGE-1, and a polypeptide comprising a functional portion of the TCR. In addition, it involves a multivalent TCR complex, a nucleic acid encoding a TCR, cells expressing the TCR, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the TCR. The present invention also refers to TCRs for use as pharmaceuticals, in particular TCRs for use in the treatment of cancer.
