METHOD FOR DETECTING, LOCALISING AND QUANTIFYING MDR PROTEINS

In vitro method for detecting, localising and/or quantifying multidrug resistant (MDR) proteins associated with cells, in a sample containing prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells expressing or capable of expressing MDR proteins. The method comprises: • adding to the sample, in a liquid medium or a medium comprising a liquid phase, an MDR tracer capable of binding to MDR proteins, • incubating the sample with this MDR tracer, by virtue of which the MDR tracer binds to the MDR proteins when they are present, • removing the tracer not bound to MDR proteins, • detecting, localising and/or quantifying the tracer bound to MDR proteins. Tracers capable of being used in this method.
