An electronic device may include a housing, a display, a display driver IC, a sensor, and a processor. The processor may synchronize light emission timing such that the sensor emits light when the gate voltage of a driving transistor for each of multiple pixels is in a hold state during one frame. The processor or the display driver IC may calculate the amount of change in the gate voltage of the driving transistor during the one frame due to emission of the light. The display driver IC may compensate the gate voltage output from the display driver IC by the amount of change in the gate voltage and provide the compensated gate voltage to the driving transistor. Various other embodiments understood from the specification are possible.
