Device for controlling the light distribution of a headlamp for a vehicle with: an object detection unit designed to detect an object in front of the vehicle; an ADB (Adaptive Driving Beam) headlamp;trained to emit a matrix light according to a light distribution; a vehicle state control unit trained to receive an ADB mode of operation; and a control unit, trained to calculate the width of a dark zone appropriate to the object and to calculate a cut-off around the dark zone according to the object detection result of the object detection unit and to drive the ADB headlamp according to the ADB mode of operation.
