PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant-derived lactic acid bacterium extracellular polysaccharide showing remarkable ACE inhibitory activity and having no cytotoxicity. SOLUTION: This is a plant-derived lactic acid bacterium extracellular polysaccharide capable of inhibiting angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), and has the characteristics of 1) or 2). 1) The weight average molecular weight is 1.35 × 106 Da, and 2) It is composed of mannose having a molar ratio of 5.6: 7.3: 1, galactose and glucose. The present invention further provides a phosphorylated derivative of a plant-derived lactic acid bacterium extracellular polysaccharide.
