The present invention relates to a method for producing a cantilever part from a sheet metal blank, in particular a method for producing a cantilever part with a bearing seat, in which the starting material is reshaped only by bending. The manufacturing process is thus simplified. The present invention also relates to a method for producing a boom closed on both sides by connecting two boom parts which are produced by means of the method according to the invention. The present invention further comprises boom parts and booms which are produced by means of one of the methods according to the invention.
