The present invention relates to a novel hypoglycemic index sweetener. The sweetener of the present invention contains less sucrose, has a low calorie and low glycemic index, but has excellent sweetness. In particular, the sweetness complex of the present invention is characterized in that it maximizes other tastes while improving sweetness by optimally combining the type and concentration of a saccharide-based compound instead of sucrose and sucralose, a high sweetener, or a natural high sweetener.
