Corded fabrics; twills. - Bedford cords and other like fabrics, such as those known as single cords, Prussian twills, buckskins, doeskins, cavalry cloth, &c., are woven by using groups of special warp threads, to form the ribs, separated by two or more ordinary cotton warp threads. The special warp threads are of cotton or other yarn, preferably mercerized. The weft threads are composed wholly or mainly of wool or worsted.
