Spring devices; forks and saddle supports. - Fork blades 15 are pivotally connected through lugs 14 to a lug 8 on the lower end of a stem 7, Fig. 2, which passes through a trunnion 6 carried by plates 4 rigidly attached to the steering-stem 1, main and recoil springs 11, 12 being mounted as shown and links 9 being provided. A bolt 17 passes through the upper ends of the fork blades and through rubber or similar buffers in a tube carried by the upper end of the stem 7.
