Coin and like handling appliances; coins, sorting.-A device, adapted to be fitted to a table, or other piece of furniture, to facilitate the picking up of coins at booking offices &c., comprises a plate A having lateral and frontal projections b, b1, which form a cavity a with inclined walls to receive, the money. The cavity a is the size of a hand, and, by placing the hand on the frontal projection b1 and elongating and contracting the fingers, the whole, of the money in the cavity a can be seized. In a modification, the lateral projections b are dispensed with. The cavity a may be formed double-ended and with side compartments to allow the money to be sorted and may be corrugated.
