Creel arrangements; skewers. - A holder for bottle bobbins or other bobbins, or cones, cheeses, or other bodies holding or formed of yarn, during unwinding comprises a rod g movable longitudinally in its support so that it may be withdrawn so as to project a conveniently short distance from its support or be withdrawn entirely to enable a bobbin etc. to be placed thereon or removed therefrom with little movement, and, for unwinding purposes so as to project as shown in Fig. 2. When the bobbins are inclined for unwinding the weight thereof may be relied upon to maintain the rod in position, but a spring k may be provided to engage notches l in the rod g. and secure it in the. positions, or, as shown in Fig. 6, a barrel spring n may be provided, which serves to hold the bobbin and to determine the outer position and may be withdrawn within the bore of the support with the rod.
