A copper alloy for bearing brasses for use in railway vehicles contains 20-30 per cent of lead, 1-7 per cent of manganese, and 1-5 per cent of nickel, with or without 1-5 per cent of tin and 1-5 per cent of antimony. A small amount of sodium, for example 0,3 per cent, may also be present.
