[Class 42 (i).] Nap, raising.-In a drum machine having pile and counter-pile rollers driven by gearing f, g, h and belt cones b, d, a lever a4 is provided for putting the drive into and out of action quickly and locking it against rotation when out of gear. The cone b is loose on the shaft e but can be coupled thereto by means of a clutch part a1 linked to the lever a'. In its other extreme position the clutch a1 engages a fixed counterpart a1x and prevents the shaft e from rotating.
