[Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Group VII] A device for protecting medical attendants and patients against the transmission of respiratory diseases comprises a forehead band], of slightly extensible fabric or as shown of steel strip having hinged portions 2, 3, the band carrying clips 7, 8, releasably holding a sheet 9 of regenerated cellulose, cellulose esters or ethers, or like transparent material. The band has terminal buckles' 10, 11, carrying elastic straps 12, 13, connected by a clasp or buckle. A stirrup 6 at the centre of the band detachably carries an examination mirror 6a.
