[Classes 73, 93, and 132 (iii)] A device for attaching mascots, flags, badges, and licences to vehicles comprises a plate 12 provided with one or two tongues 13 for clamping between the bonnet 14 and the recessed flange 15 on the radiator protecting shell 16 or on the scuttle at the rear end of the bonnet. The bottom edge 17 of the plate 12 is curved so that the tongues 13 are at an angle to each other and the tongues 13 are capable of some flexure as by connecting them to the plate 12 only partly along their length at 18, so that they can adapt themselves to the curvatures of the parts of different vehicles. The construction is such that the device does not engage the upper surface of the bonnet. The tongues may be formed with projections to assist their security of mounting. In the construction shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the flag-holding rod 10 may be secured to the plate 12 as by clamping between turned over lugs or by the provision of a screwed joint, or by bolting. In the construction shown in Fig. 2, the badge 19 is integral with the plate 12 or may be attached to the plate 12 by bolts 20. Fig. 4 shows part of the tongue 13 covered with a rubber, cork, or felt ring 22, to assist clamping. More than one flag may be supported by forming flag holding sockets integral with the plate 12, or by using a Y- shaped member 25 formed with fiag-holding sockets 26 and with a socket 27 embracing a flag-holding socket on the plate 12.
