[Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group V] Contact leaves 2 for electriclamp caps, or other apparatus having relatively light contact leaves, e.g. electric switches, are fed in strip form to the working point where one is severed by a knife 7 and slides down an inclined trough 8 to a point vertically above a mould 4. Movement of a slide 9 brings apertures 9a, 8c into register and the contact leaf then drops through a guide 8a into a recess 5 in the mould. The trough 8 is pivoted at the point P so that the guide 8a may be moved clear of the top of the mould to enable a number of moulds to be mounted on a rotating table 10. Two or more contact leaves may be fed at the same time to different positions in the mould. The leaves may have guide surfaces to ensure their dropping in the required position.
