摘要
722,455. Diamond tools. LADINSKY, W. June 26, 1952 [Sept. 26, 1951]. No. 16139/52. Class 124. A diamond for an industrial diamond tool has at least three plane lateral faces the intersections of which are substantially parallel, at least one of the lateral faces being obtained by splitting along a cleavage plane, the width of the widest lateral face not exceeding two-thirds of its length. The cross section perpendicular to its parallel edges may be a triangle, square, rectangle, rhombus or trapezium. As shown, such a diamond 1 is mounted with its longitudinal axis parallel to the axis of a trueing tool 2, by means of an alloy setting 3, the tool end and alloy setting being filed down as far as the mark 4 as the diamond is worn by, for example, the retouching of abrasive wheels.
