The invention comprises salts of a phenyl arsonic acid of formula FORM:0762776/IV(b)/1 where X is halogen or a hydroxyl, amino or nitro group and Y is hydrogen or a hydroxyl group, and a straight or branched chain alkyl or alkenyl amine having more than 10 and preferably not more than 18 carbon atoms in the alkyl or alkenyl group. The salts may be mixed in poultry feed for the treatment of coccidiosis. Specified amines include dodecyl-, tetradecyl-, hexadecyl-, octadecyl-, undecenyl-, dodecenyl-, tetradecenyl-, hexadecenyl- and octadecylamine. p-Chlorophenylarsonic acid is the preferred acid component. The salts are prepared by reacting the phenyl arsonic acid or a salt thereof (water-soluble salt preferably) with the amine or an addition salt thereof such as the hydrochloride.
