The Figure shows a pulse-width discriminator circuit in which wanted pulses and unwanted narrower noise pulses are applied to two differentiating circuits, the first of which, CR1, has a time constant of the same order as the duration of the wanted pulses and the second of which is obtained by the series connection of diode D and resistor R2 in parallel with R1 and is effective only during positive going pulses, Fig. 2 (not shown). An amplitude-limiting circuit may precede the pulse width discriminating circuit.
