Improvements relating to gantries for accouchement and gynaecological purposes

A frame for use during accouchement comprises a horizontal member on two uprights and provided with hand grips and knee rests. In one form upright supports 7, 71 have horizontal tubular extensions 1, 11 which are adjustably joined together by a bar 2 and set screw 3. The top parts 4, 41 of the uprights are curved and co-operate with adjustable pieces 5, 51 to provide knee rests while lateral projections 8, 81 are used as hand grips. The uprights are mounted on the table by intermediate supports 9, 91 which may be cranked to allow for different table widths. In other forms the knee rests are adjustable along the length of the horizontal member or may be vertically adjustable.
