Class 103(6) [Also in Group XXXIV] A corve axle bearing comprises a cylindrical chamber 3, secured to the underframe 1, 2 of the vehicle, a bearing housing 11 mounted resiliently in the chamber 3 by means of a rubber pad 9 and a bearing pad 21 guided by the housing 11. A protective metal disc 10 is interposed between the pad 9 and housing 11. The axle 6 is received with clearance in diametrically opposed slots 5 in the wall of the chamber 3. The housing 11 has two locating lugs 15 which are adapted to slide in guide slots 7 in the cylinder 3. One of the lugs 15 has a lubricant supply passage 15x. A bearing housing cap 16, Fig. 7, is adapted to be secured to the underside of the housing 11. The underface of the bearing pad 21 has lubrication grooves 22, whilst its upper face carries two screwed studs 23 to receive adjusting and lock nuts whereby the position of the pad relative to the disc 10 may be varied.
