A contact for an edge connector for a printed circuit panel is formed from sheet metal and has a base with two attaching legs 7, 8 depending therefrom, a side wall 2 and a panel engaging portion extending from the side wall 2 above the base 1 and having its free edge 3a inclined towards the base 1. To form an edge connector such contacts are mounted on a strip of insulating material 9 which has holes 10 and notches 11 for the legs which are bent over to hold the connector in place. A printed circuit panel 14 for use with such a connector has circuitry 15 extending to one edge with slots 16 to take the side walls 2 of the contacts whose panel engaging portions 3 are preferably flared and make contact with the circuitry 15 along their edges 3a.
