Preventing bacteria propagation or contamination in the use of thermometers or dental instruments. Method comprises wrapping the thermometer or instrument immediately after use in a sheet, folding the sheet about the thermometer and sealing the sheet, whilst leaving a readily frangible opening for subsequent removal of the thermometer.
