We claim : 1. An anisotropic membrane which comprises a vinyl-triorganosilane polymer or copolymer consisting of a dense layer, as hereinbefore defined, of average thickness between 0.01 and 10 [t,, and porous layer with open pores, as hereinbefore defined of thickness up to 500, (A in which the volume of the interstitial spaces in the porous layer represents 20 to 80% of the total volume of the membrane.
