Cpds. of formula (I): and their ammonium salts with acids (where R1 is ZOCH2-CH-C6H5 or H2C=C-C6H5 (Z=H or acyl, pref. Ac); R2 is H, 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C acyl or aroyl esp. C6H5CO; Y is O or S) are more specific than scopolamine itself and are prepd. from nor- or apo-norscopolamines and isocyantes or thiocyanates (1 mol) in dry acetone at room temp., or, if R2 = H, from scopolamines and halonitriles in benzene, then converting the N-cyano-cpd. to the N-carbamoyl-cpd. in an acid medium.
