1299698 Antiskid braking systems SOC ANON DBA 17 June 1971 [23 June 1970] 28542/71 Heading F2F An antiskid braking system includes a device for modifying the rate of braking pressure rise to avoid too high a rise initially which may produce wheel lock in even good conditions, the device comprising a normally open solenoidoperated valve EV2, connected across a pressure restricting element J, and an electronic system SE responsive to signals representative of vehicle wheel speed developing a signal fed to a solenoid operated valve EV1 to close the latter and isolate the brake F when a skid is imminent, the signal also closing valve EV2. The signal is a pulse produced in response to a threshold voltage, tapped on a potentiometer Rh, as a result of a predetermined deceleration. Pressure is released from the brake by a valve EV3. Depression of the brake pedal closes a switch E to control a switching device I1.
