Agglomerated salt pellets for regeneration of ion-exchange resins in low-capacity appts. consist of NaCl almost free from water-insols, with density 1.85 kg/dm3 and with apparent specific surface 3-10cm2/g, are used in e.g. washing-machine water-softeners, avoiding blocking strainers etc., and coating the resin exchange particles with insols, allowing rapid dissolution.
