1302292 Insecticides AGRIPAT SA 26 Jan 1970 [27 Jan 1969] 3613/70 Heading A5E Insects, arachnids and developmental stages thereof are controlled by applying thereto a growth-inhibiting amount of a 3-hydroxytriazine of the formula wherein R 1 represents H, halogen, nitro, C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 alkyl or alkynyl radical linked to the nucleus through an oxygen or sulphur atom, halogenalkyl, alkanoyloxy, alkanoylamino or a halogenated or unsubstituted phenyl; R 2 and R 3 independently each represent H, halogen, C 1-4 alkyl, halogenalkyl or C 1-4 alkyl linked to the nucleus through an oxygen or sulphur atom and R 4 represents C 1-8 alkyl, C 3-4 alkenyl, halogenalkyl, phenyl, halogenated phenyl, benzyl or halogenated alkyl. Suitable triazenes include 1-(4'-chlorophenyl)-3-ethyl, isopropyl or n-propyl-3-hydroxy-triazenes. The compounds may be applied in the form of dusts, granulates, wettable powders, pastes, emulsifiable concentrates, solutions or aerosols. The compositions may also contain fungicides, bactericides, fungistatics, bacteriostatics, nematocides, plant fertilizers, trace elements and other insecticides.
