1298427 Alkaline dextranase TOYO JOZO KK 19 April 1971 [20 Feb 1970] 22943/71 Heading C3H In a process for the production of alkaline dextranase, Brevibacterium fuscum var. dextranlyticum NRRL B-3852 or a mutant thereof is cultured in a medium containing a source of assimilable carbon and nitrogen, and the enzyme thus produced is separated from the medium. Methanol or ethanol may be added to the medium. The enzyme may be isolated from the cell-free medium by precipitation with sodium chloride, ammonium sulphate, ethanol or acetone.
